The influence of tides and river flow is important in the classification of estuaries based on vertical mixing parameters. This research was conducted using the primary data collection method during high and low tides using ADCP, CTD, and Tide Gauge at April 24th 2024 and May 2nd 2024. The calculation of this parameter is also supported by differences in salinity, density, bouyancy frequency value and vertical shear calculated based on the vertical mixing equation. At The Citanduy River, the average salinity reached 0.1 psu. In Klaces, the average salinity reaches 20 psu. Spatial variations show that the closer the pelawangan, the higher the salinity, showing a value of 32 psu and the tidal confluence occurs in the middle of Segara Anakan or in Klaces. In addition, precipitation during spring is higher than during neap. In addition, the current pattern at the Citanduy River estuary shows that the dominant current is river current while the current pattern in Klaces is dominant tidal current. The tides and river discharge are strong enough to cause the Citanduy River estuary to be completely mixed and no stratification occurs. With the M value or tidal mixing efficiency number above 1 and the Freshwater Froude number value above 0.1. Meanwhile, stratification occurs in the Klaces area located in the middle of Segara Anakan with an M value above 0.1 and a Freshwater Froude number value above 0.1. Therefore, it can be concluded that at the mouth of the Citanduy River, the estuary is categorised as Well Mixed and in the middle of the estuary or Klaces is categorised as Strongly Stratified. text
