Description
Summary:This research focuses on developing a backend for an IoT-based monitoring and early warning system in coal mines, aiming to improve work safety, operational efficiency, and productivity. The system is designed to collect, transmit, and store real-time data from image processing and sensors on mining vehicles, as well as accommodate load spikes. Using a microservices architecture with NestJS, the system consists of three main services and two API Gateways, integrating MQTT protocol for IoT and HTTP for the frontend. Test results demonstrate the system's reliability in data collection and storage, promising significant improvements in coal mine safety and operational efficiency. The uniqueness of this system lies in its ability to adapt to limited network infrastructure at mine sites, the use of data compression for bandwidth efficiency, and integration with existing systems for comprehensive worker safety analysis. System evaluation includes performance and scalability testing, with results showing the ability to handle simultaneous deviation recordings with better average response times compared to similar monolithic systems, as well as improved effectiveness compared to manual recording systems.
