Currently, ChatGPT is widely applied in various fields, including healthcare, especially in health services and pharmaceutical services. The public no longer solely relies on healthcare and medical professionals for health information. However, the widespread use of ChatGPT in healthcare practices requires careful consideration due to the associated risks. Therefore, this study aims to determine the levels of usage, trust, and dependency of the Indonesian public on ChatGPT across different socioeconomic levels. The research was conducted using analytic observational methods with a questionnaire in a cross-sectional approach involving 779 respondents. Data collection took place from April 2024 to July 2024, followed by univariate and bivariate analysis of the collected data. The results showed that a significant portion of the public uses ChatGPT (70%), with half of these users utilizing ChatGPT to obtain health information. The average usage level of ChatGPT among the Indonesian public is neutral at 3.25. The average level of trust in health information from ChatGPT is also neutral at 2.65, and the average dependency level on information from ChatGPT is neutral at 3.25. Correlation with sociodemographic factors revealed significant influences between regions, occupations, and age groups on usage levels and between occupations on trust levels. Correlation tests for each dimension indicated a positive correlation between usage levels and trust levels, but no correlation between dependency levels and both usage and trust levels regarding health information from ChatGPT. text
