This operation significantly impacts subsequent mining stages, both of technical and economical perspective, especially in excavation activities. Therefore, besides evaluating the actual blasted rock fragmentation, the digging time of digging equipment can also measure the success of the blasting operation. This study aims to analyze the actual blasted rocks fragmentation and its effect on the digging time of digging equipment during overburden removal at PT KPP. It also evaluate rock fragmentation distribution based on the Kuz-Ram model to predict the actual fragmentation distribution. To support this study, data collection was carried out to obtain rock characteristics, digging time, blasting geometry, rock types, explosives types, and actual fragmentation pictures which ware processed using WipFrag and Microsoft Excel. The results indicate that the predicted rock fragmentation by the Kuz-Ram model is larger than the actual rock fragmentation. In response, the Kuz-Ram model was adjusted with a correction factor of 0.3 for characteristic size and 0.73 for uniformity index. The corrected Kuz-Ram model provided a predicted fragmentation distribution that closely approximates the actual fragmentation distribution. Furthermore, the results demonstrated that P80 has a direct relationship with digging time, which is expressed by the equation ???????????????????????????? ???????????????? (????????????????????????????) = 0.025 × ????80 (????????) + 5.16, with a correlation coefficient (????²= 0.9199). text
