In the process PT AMNT also produces acid mine water (santong water) which is considered to pollute the environment. One of the ways PT AMNT implements Good Mining Practice is by using coconut water for the flotation process. However, the use of coconut water will have an impact on reducing copper production. To overcome this problem, PT AMNT will build the Santong Water Treatment Plant (SWTP). SWTP is a process to remove the copper ion content contained in coconut water. Before building the SWTP, a lab-scale experiment was first carried out by varying the copper ion concentration, collector dose, and frother dose to see how much influence the copper ion content in the coconut water had on copper yield and content. A series of flotation experiments were carried out to determine the effect of dissolved copper ion concentration, collector dose, and frother dose. Variations were made at copper ion concentrations of 5 ppm, 15 ppm, and 30 ppm, the collector dose used was varied at 2 g/t, 8 g/t, and 14 g/t, and the frother dose at 10 g/t, 30 g/t. t, and 50 g/t. The experiment began with fresh ore sample preparation, continued with homogenization and splitting, determining the grinding time, and flotation experiments. Flotation is carried out using a gradual method where the flotation results are then analyzed to determine the recovery and copper content. The high content of dissolved copper ions can reduce copper yield. The smallest consistent copper recovery was obtained at a copper ion concentration of 30 ppm. Meanwhile, the copper content obtained increases with the concentration of dissolved copper ions. Increasing the collector and frother dosage added to the flotation process can increase copper recovery. The highest copper recovery was consistently obtained at a collector dose of 14 g/t and a frother dose of 50 g/t, namely 97.06%, 96.26%, and 95.85% respectively for the copper ion variations of 5 ppm, 15 ppm, respectively. and 30 ppm. Meanwhile, the Cu content obtained had a decreasing trend as the collector and frother doses used increased. text
