The results showed that the increase of either the benthiocarb herbicide or the carbofuran insecticide had caused the lowering of the ponulation growth of Chlorella L2. and of its chlorophyll-a content. The increasing concentration of benthiocarb herbicide from 15, 20 up to 25 unit had resulted in lowering the population growth of the green algae from 17.22%, 31.05% down to as much as 50.01% respectively while its chlorophyll-a content was reduced from 14.11%, 17.42% down to as much as 31.59% respectively. When the carbofuran insecticide\'s concentration was increased from 10, 15 up to 20 ppm during the treatment upon the green algae, its population growth reduced from 54.03%, 56.59% up to 57.46% respectively, and at the same time the chlorophyll-a content was reduced from 36.75%, 39.53% up to 8 9.99% respectively. It showed dramatically that an insecticide can indiscriminately caused negative effect even on non-targeted one celled plant. Poreover, the effect of both herbicide and insecticide at the same levels of concentration were reinforced by the longer time oftreatment. The combined treatment of both herbicide and insecticide at the concentration of (5\'5) ppm on the onecelled green algae had an even worse synert;itic effects both on its population Broth and its chlorophyll-a content . text
