Sports activities are crucial for maintaining public health and fitness. The increasing popularity of sports today has heightened the demand for sports facilities. Sports infrastructure encompasses spaces and environments used for sports activities and events. With many areas in Indonesia, including Watubelah Village in Cirebon Regency, still lacking adequate sports facilities, local governments are required to provide facilities that meet standards. Despite high community enthusiasm and the ongoing development of the Watubelah Sports Facility (SOR Watubelah), the current sports infrastructure, including Watubelah Field, requires improvements to effectively support various sports activities. Therefore, designing a sports area in Watubelah Field that integrates with SOR Watubelah, which will eventually serve as a central sports hub, is crucial to meet community needs, promote economic growth, and enhance community empowerment. The methodology used in this study is divided into two parts: data collection methods and analysis methods. Data collection employs both primary and secondary data, differentiated by their collection methods. The analysis includes site analysis using a fragmental approach and an assessment of potential and issues using qualitative descriptive methods, analyzing external and internal factors, and potential and issues in the area through design elements. These factors include land use, building mass, circulation and parking, open space, pedestrian areas, activities, signage, maintenance, and accessibility. These eight elements are then compared with the potential and issues affecting Watubelah Field. The analysis indicates that the utilization of Watubelah Field as sports infrastructure is still suboptimal. Consequently, this study will provide recommendations on policy, conceptual, and design aspects to assist local governments in planning the sports area in Watubelah Field.
