The company based in South Jakarta, Indonesia. The business gained success, and even in the last three years the sales of this contractor business increased multiply. The year of 2023 targeted Rp 200 billion of sales, according to the 2022 achievement of Rp 84 billion. Though the sales kept growing, it did not reach the target.
The business issue is to fill in the gap of sales increase and scale up the business, will be the purpose of this research. The study will conduct the qualitative approach. The data gained through the interview to key persons in the company. They are the Founder, President Director of Bintoro Build, some employees, and related stakeholders. The study also conducts the project's visit.
Finding out how the sales growth was not as significant as previous years, and formulating the proposed business strategy for this growing company. To present the big picture of the business strategy, will be the result of the business model. The business model in the research will utilize the Business Canvas Model.
This research designed to collect the qualitative data, from both primary and secondary resources. To gain relevant information, the next step is to analyze the company both the external environment analysis and internal environment analysis. The business strategy formulated to be a business model – a framework for how the firm will create, deliver, and capture value. To formulate and to visualize the business model will be present as the Business Model Canvas – is a one-page tool to visualize the business nine essential elements. The formulation of business model strategy will be finalized by developing the business model of a New Business Model Canvas. The business model development analyzes and formulates from the analysis of the business model environment, including: Market Forces, Industry Forces, Key Trends, and Macro-Economic Forces. This environment analysis proposed questions to the company’s issues with some related building blocks of the business model canvas.
The next business model development is evaluating the business model within each of the building blocks regarding the questions list tools that results: First, will present a big picture assessment of Bintoro Build and describe how the company has built strategically on that model since. Second, based on a set of checklists for assessing current business model, will result in the New Business Model Canvas.
The New Business Model Canvas resulted in incremental innovation in the Bintoro Build. The changes are the addition of elements in each building block that have connection to another. The additional elements are: the new value propositions, that projected the new high of sales that produce the revenue stream with the control of cost spending. The realization of the new value proposed will create additional elements of the infrastructures, that are the key resources, key activities, and key partnerships. At the end, the company will deliver the value proposed to meet the customers through the customer interface, that is the new customer segment, integrated channel, and a new customer relation element. This proposed new value proposition is the company scale up the contractor business to the housing developer. Thus, how the new business model will scale up and generate multiple sales and income. This incremental innovation is considered as an option of a new business model that regularly evaluates and organically can be adjusted.
