Description
Summary:The city of Jakarta is an area that often experiences floods. One area that often experiences flooding is the area around the Ciliwung River. One alternative to overcome the flood problem in the Ciliwung River area is the design of a tunnel to drain excess water to the East Flood Canal (BKT) via the Cipinang River which is not accommodated by the Ciliwung River. The focus in this final project is to define work items, plan construction work methods, estimate the project cost, and schedule the on going of the Ciliwung – Cipinang Waterway. According to the data received, Ciliwung – Cipinang Waterway will adopt a contruction method named microtunneling or also called Pipe jacking. The building beside Ciliwung River will be the Inlet of the Waterway, and Outlet will be connected to Cipinang River. Distance between Ciliwung River and Cipinang River is about 1250 meters, meanwhile the maximum microtunneling work is about 1000 meters, so that is why a new shaft needed, named Arriving Shaft. On the process of construction management planning of this project, had been set that microtunneling will use two TBM that works from Outlet and Inlet and both ends on the Arriving Shaft
