Climate change is a global issue recognized by the United Nations (UN), encompassing long-term shifts in temperature and weather patterns, with consequences such as droughts, water scarcity, wildfires, rising sea levels, floods, polar ice melting, storms, and biodiversity loss. Anomalous data from Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) in 2023 indicated an increase in the country's average temperature by 0.1-0.6 degrees Celsius. This is attributed to greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuel combustion, agriculture, and industry. West Java Province has identified five priority sectors in its Regional Low-Carbon Development Plan (RPRKD), although the energy and transportation sectors have yet to meet emission reduction targets. Public involvement is crucial in mitigation efforts, though awareness still needs to be raised. Advocacy efforts, particularly through continuous education in schools, are seen as effective measures to foster this awareness. This project selected a location in Langensari, Lembang Subdistrict, due to the rising number of agricultural workers in the region. The project focuses on creating environmentally conscious buildings, ensuring the effectiveness of its educational functions, and utilizing the building itself as an educational tool for the broader community. It is hoped that this initiative will help Lembang become a sustainable area by serving as a model of sustainable architecture that can influence the surrounding region.
