Health encompasses the physical, social, spiritual, and mental well-being of individuals. To meet the needs of the community, particularly in the Medan Maimun District of Medan City, the importance of healthcare facilities, such as hospitals, is strongly felt. Unfortunately, the development of hospitals in this area has not been evenly distributed. From the perspective of wellness and communities, the design concept for a type C hospital in Medan Maimun District prioritizes a healing environment. This approach not only considers physical factors but also integrates wellness elements into its design. Wellness here includes a comprehensive understanding of health, a focus on disease prevention, and the creation of environments that support a healthy lifestyle. In planning the hospital, attention is given to aspects that enhance patient well-being, such as the presence of green open spaces, natural lighting, areas dedicated to patients and caregivers as spaces for interaction, and calming interior designs. Thus, the goal of the design is not only to ensure optimal healthcare services but also to create spaces that support a healthy lifestyle and enhance the well-being of the community in Medan Maimun District. Through data collection, analysis, and synthesis, the result is a type C hospital that not only integrates natural, psychological, and sensory elements but also designs environments that contribute to wellness and community cohesion.
