Summary:This research presents a comprehensive analysis and proposed implementation of a Knowledge-Based Performance Management System (KB-PMS) for Mitra Persada. This research is motivated by the increasingly fierce competition in the packaging industry such as the occurrence of technological developments, preferences for the implementation of modern business practices, increased innovation, and the quality of human resources. This emphasizes the important role of an effective performance management system in industry competition, which is a challenge for Mitra Persada today. Another background of this research is that Mitra Persada has not implemented a comprehensive, easy-to-understand, and dynamic performance appraisal system. These background issues are considered challenges for Mitra Persada in maintaining and improving performance from competition and operational inefficiencies. The application of KB-PMS utilizes the theoretical basis of performance management and the concept of KB-PMS framework. The framework in this study is tailored to address the challenges of Mitra Persada with a strategic emphasis on alignment, vision, mission, and corporate strategy with performance measures reflected in all perspectives. This study utilizes data and information from the internal company Mitra Persada in the form of quantitative data (financial statements) and qualitative data (interviews). Financial statements are taken from a 5-year perspective starting from 2018 to 2022. While interviews were conducted with the President Director (1 person), Manager (1 person), Head of Finance (1 person), Head of Delivery and Control (1 person), Head of Production (1 person), Head of Design (1 person) and 1 staff representative from each field (Finance, Delivery and Control, Production and Design). The implementation of KB-PMS will focus on organizational outputs, internal processes, and resource capabilities. Starting from a detailed design and implementation plan will outline a performance management system that integrates current processes and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and strategic alignment. The implementation of KB-PMS underlines the potential for efficiency and effectiveness in designing, implementing, controlling, and improving the company's performance on an ongoing basis. This study provides the results of the expected implementation of KB-PMS at Mitra Persada in the form of the existence of goals between the partners involved in the long term, there are strong parameters in determining the vision, mission, and strategy of the company, productivity, and success will be able to be assessed appropriately, all stakeholders will be integrated and the implementation of KBPMS will help maximize decision making based on established functions.
