PCBA involves the assembly of electronic components on Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) used to connect and support various electronic devices. A sustainable inventory policy for PCBA components is crucial to ensure smooth production, minimize component inventory costs, and support the company's sustainability mission. This policy will incorporate the strategy of component reuse (circularity of components) as PT X's effort to minimize electronic waste. This study modifies the classic Q model by considering the component reuse strategy, as demonstrated by the addition of cost structures for recovering reused components in the expected total inventory cost. The cost components considered include seven elements: 1) the cost of purchasing new components, 2) the ordering cost for new components, 3) the storage cost for usable components, 4) the storage cost for components to be recovered, 5) the cost of component recovery, 6) the setup cost for component recovery, and 7) the cost of stock shortages. The sustainable inventory policy in this study is expected to result in a total inventory cost of Rp Rp 1,397,030,658 per year, with a savings of 59.40% from the existing inventory cost. This policy also achieves a component reuse ratio of 64.28% out of the 22 components analyzed, thereby reducing 155,567 units of electronic component waste per year. Furthermore, this sustainable inventory policy optimizes the service level to reach 97.28%, indicating that the proposed inventory policy can effectively and efficiently meet customer demand. text |
