Summary: | The implementation of sports facility reservation systems in Indonesia has not yet fully
embraced technological advancements, with most reservation processes remaining traditional
and manual. This conventional approach hampers the ease of booking facilities due to the
difficulties users face in accessing real-time information about the availability of sports venues.
By examining the more advanced reservation systems used in countries like the UK and Poland,
the author has set out to design a system that streamlines the booking process and addresses these
challenges. This new system aims to facilitate smoother and more efficient reservations,
enhancing user experience in Indonesia.
The proposed system is designed as a prototype website that can be accessed from any device
connected to the internet. It includes a comprehensive architecture consisting of a business layer,
data layer, and application layer. Notably, the system integrates an authentication flow that
simplifies user engagement by removing the need for traditional login or registration processes.
This design choice is intended to make the system more user-friendly and accessible, aligning
with the needs of modern users who seek convenience and efficiency.
Testing of the system involved 24 users and employed the System Usability Scale (SUS) to
evaluate its effectiveness. The results yielded a score of 83.33 out of 100, indicating a high level
of user satisfaction and demonstrating that the system effectively facilitates the booking process.
This positive feedback underscores the potential of the system to significantly improve the
reservation experience for sports facilities in Indonesia, marking a step forward in the country's
transition towards a more technologically integrated sports industry. |
