INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/85922 The research titled “Building a Learning and Leadership Ecosystem Using a Knowledge Management Perspective at PT Tri Satya Jaya” explores the company’s performance decline in revenue also projects taken from client and ineffective employee collaboration. The study uses quantitative methods, including a Garvin et al. (2008)-based questionnaire, and qualitative methods, such as director interviews, to understand how organizational culture impacts performance. Key findings identify several root causes of performance issues, including disengaging management practices, inadequate training, ineffective information transfer, and resource limitations. The study emphasizes the critical role of organizational culture, noting that a lack of focus on knowledge sharing and continuous learning can hinder competitiveness in the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) sector. To address these challenges, the research recommends implementing a structured Knowledge Management (KM) system. This system, based on the SECI model of Socialization, Externalization, Combination, and Internalization would foster a knowledge-sharing environment, enhance collaboration, and improve employee engagement. The SECI model encourages social interactions to transform individual knowledge into organizational knowledge, driving overall performance improvement. The research outlines a four-stage implementation timeline for KM strategies: (1) KM Preparation: Forming a KM team and designing mentoring and training programs. (2) Guidelines and Curriculum Design: Analyzing required skills and creating tailored training programs. (3) KM System Implementation: Delivering training, mentoring, and establishing performance-tracking tools. (4) KM System Evaluation: Assessing the effectiveness of KM initiatives and ensuring alignment with strategic goals. The study concludes that investing in human capital and leadership development is essential for PT Tri Satya Jaya’s success in the competitive EPC sector. By adopting these KM strategies, the company can enhance its learning and leadership ecosystem, leading to sustainable growth and improved performance. text |

The research titled “Building a Learning and Leadership Ecosystem Using
a Knowledge Management Perspective at PT Tri Satya Jaya” explores the
company’s performance decline in revenue also projects taken from client and
ineffective employee collaboration. The study uses quantitative methods, including
a Garvin et al. (2008)-based questionnaire, and qualitative methods, such as director
interviews, to understand how organizational culture impacts performance. Key
findings identify several root causes of performance issues, including disengaging
management practices, inadequate training, ineffective information transfer, and
resource limitations. The study emphasizes the critical role of organizational
culture, noting that a lack of focus on knowledge sharing and continuous learning
can hinder competitiveness in the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction
(EPC) sector.
To address these challenges, the research recommends implementing a
structured Knowledge Management (KM) system. This system, based on the SECI
model of Socialization, Externalization, Combination, and Internalization would
foster a knowledge-sharing environment, enhance collaboration, and improve
employee engagement. The SECI model encourages social interactions to transform
individual knowledge into organizational knowledge, driving overall performance
improvement. The research outlines a four-stage implementation timeline for KM
strategies: (1) KM Preparation: Forming a KM team and designing mentoring and
training programs. (2) Guidelines and Curriculum Design: Analyzing required
skills and creating tailored training programs. (3) KM System Implementation:
Delivering training, mentoring, and establishing performance-tracking tools. (4)
KM System Evaluation: Assessing the effectiveness of KM initiatives and ensuring
alignment with strategic goals.
The study concludes that investing in human capital and leadership
development is essential for PT Tri Satya Jaya’s success in the competitive EPC
sector. By adopting these KM strategies, the company can enhance its learning and
leadership ecosystem, leading to sustainable growth and improved performance. |
