Every Intracs technician is required to document the details of their activities during shifts in an End-of-Shift Report (LAS). These LAS are collected and compiled for the creation of toll road reports that need to be evaluated by management. However, management has complained about frequent discrepancies between the calculations in the toll road reports and the warehouse records. Additionally, management is concerned about the incomplete LAS submissions by many technicians. After conducting a root cause analysis using the 5 Whys method, it was found that the root cause was the company's existing system, which is still too complex to use and unable to integrate the entire LAS management process. Therefore, this study aims to design an information system that can efficiently manage LAS and is easy for stakeholders to use. The design of the LAS management information system was carried out using the prototyping methodology, one of the information system development methodologies. This methodology consists of four general stages that are common in other information system development methodologies: the preliminary stage, system requirements analysis, system design, and system design analysis and evaluation. The system requirements analysis and system design stages were conducted iteratively until the prototype met all user’s expectation. This study produced a design for an information system to manage LAS, including proposed business processes, a logical design related to processes and data structures, and a prototype in the form of a user interface. The information system design was verified against system requirements and validated by users to ensure it met development objectives. Based on the verification and validation results, it can be concluded that the designed information system simplifies the overall LAS management process. text
