The demand for these items can be fulfilled through the four departments owned by PT SKI, which are the cutting, milling, CNC, and press lines. Among these four departments, the CNC line had the lowest productivity percentage in 2023. Based on this issue, root cause analysis was conducted using a fishbone diagram and the fault tree analysis, revealing that the main problem was the absence of a tool or dashboard to monitor the condition of CNC machines in real-time. To address this root cause, a dashboard system was designed to monitor productivity on CNC machines by first determining the data and information to be displayed on the dashboard. The method used in designing the dashboard in this research is the Vilarinho method, which is a modification of the Engineering Design Process (EDP) method. This method provides a systematic and structured framework for designing a dashboard system. The Vilarinho method begins with diagnosing the productive areas, followed by planning, identifying the system requirements, and developing the system, and concludes with testing and implementing the designed system. By applying the Vilarinho method, a dashboard system that meets the needs of PT SKI’s stakeholders was developed using Node-Red software. The dashboard system was implemented directly on two CNC machines in the CNC department, specifically the Brother 1 and Polygim 1. Additionally, the dashboard system includes a display that presents data and information reflecting the productivity on the CNC machines at PT SKI. The data and information presented on the dashboard will be used for monitoring purposes and decision-making by managerial staff and production staff regarding the CNC production process. text |
