PT X, as a large holding company with a diverse business portfolio, faces challenges in overseeing and managing risks across its group. The research focuses on designing a data analytics work unit and mechanism to support the Group Audit and Risk Advisory (GANRA) function in enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of internal audit and risk management processes. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study at PT X. Data was collected through interviews with relevant stakeholders and analysis of company documents. The results indicate that the establishment of a data analytics work unit can assist GANRA in addressing existing challenges, such as increasing business complexity, the need for deeper insights, and regulatory compliance. The new work unit will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting data from various sources, as well as developing and implementing analytical tools to support internal audit and risk management processes. The research recommends that PT X prioritize the development of data analytics competencies within the team, foster a data-driven culture, and ensure effective cross-functional collaboration. Furthermore, investing in adequate technology and infrastructure is crucial to support the performance of the data analytics work unit.
