INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/86107 This study aims to analyze the financial sustainability of private hospital “A” in Indonesia under the BPJS system, with a particular focus on the impact of government-regulated pricing policies and management efficiency. The research addresses a practical gap in the existing literature, which has not extensively explored how these policies affect the financial health of private hospitals. The study combines qualitative insights from semi-structured interviews with quantitative analysis of financial data. The findings indicate that while BPJS offers a stable revenue source, the reimbursement rates are often inadequate to cover operational costs, leading to financial strain. Effective management practices, such as optimizing patient flow and resource allocation, are crucial in mitigating these financial pressures and ensuring long-term sustainability. This research contributes to the broader field of healthcare finance by underscoring the need for strategic financial planning and efficient management to navigate the challenges posed by government- mandated reimbursement structures. text
