Summary: | PT XYZ is a manufacturing company that produces electric tow tractors. In running
this business process, there are still problems related to communication and
documentation. To identify the root of the problem, interviews were conducted and
then analysed using a fishbone diagram. The results of the analysis show that this
problem is related to the management of information that has not been integrated
in the material handling production process.
This research aims to design an information system that can help documentation
and communication in the production process of electric tow tractors. The
development of the information system was done internally to ensure customisation
according to user needs and avoid dependence on external vendors.
The information system was designed using the System Development Life Cycle
(SDLC) method which includes the stages of system initiation, system analysis,
system design, and system implementation. This research was conducted up to the
system design stage. The information system is designed using Power Apps.
The results of the information system design are carried out verification and
validation processes. The verification process is carried out to ensure the suitability
of the information system with system requirements, while validation is carried out
to ensure the information system has met user expectations. From the verification
and validation process, the information system has been designed in accordance
with system requirements and user expectations.
