Summary: | PT Nuvotek, a subsidiary of PT Duta Laserindo Metal (PT DLM) focusing on technology
development, has initiated the digital transformation of the 5S concept through the launch
of the mobile-based Disiplean application and the web-based Disiplean Analytics
application. These applications are designed to ensure the consistent implementation of 5S
in the workplace. Currently, PT Nuvotek is focused on developing Disiplean Analytics
version 1.0 as a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). The product manager aims to ensure that
this application meets technical specifications and provides an intuitive user experience.
Preliminary studies indicate that 80% of the issues with the Disiplean Analytics application
are related to usability. Consequently, the application will undergo a usability evaluation,
and improvement proposals will be formulated based on the evaluation results.
The usability evaluation methods applied include usability testing and usability inquiry.
Usability testing was conducted through performance measurement, Retrospective ThinkAloud
(RTA),
and
neuro-usability
testing
using
electroencephalography
(EEG).
Meanwhile,
usability
inquiry
was
conducted using
the
System
Usability
Scale
(SUS)
questionnaire.
This
study
involved
12
participants
who
were
new
users
of
the
application.
Participants
were
asked
to
complete
five
tasks

at
PT
DLM.
Based
on
the
results
of
the
usability
evaluation,
improvement

were
formulated
using the
design
thinking
method.
The
research
results
show
that
all
tasks
were
completed
effectively
with
a
low
workload.
However,
only tasks C, D, and E were completed efficiently. The error rate analysis
identified 27 types of errors, while the RTA generated 33 comments related to usability issues.
The SUS questionnaire results yielded a score of 68,75, which is interpreted as marginally
high. Based on the usability evaluation results, 22 improvement proposals were designed
using the design thinking process, including adjustments to menu and filter layouts, changes
to the "Diangkat Meeting" system, improvements to colors and icons, the visualization of the
"Lokasi" filter into a table format, and the addition of elements such as a search bar,
snackbar, and labels.
