This study aims to examine the effectiveness of fixed-film system reactor technology with honeycomb PVC media in reducing pollution content such as organic compounds and nutrients in domestic wastewater. This research was carried out on a laboratory scale using a fixed film system reactor with a batch system and using artificial domestic wastewater. The experiment was carried out by utilizing a PVC polymer supporting medium in the form of a honeycomb which has a filling ration of 30% and has a very large surface area of 250 m2/m3. The variations of the research tested included organic influent concentrations (300, 400, 500, 600, and 700 mg/L) and oxygen availability (anoxic and aerobic). The results of the study show that domestic wastewater treatment using a fixed film system with a hoenycomb PVC supporting medium can set aside organic and nutrients well. For anoxic reactors, the efficiency of the removal for organic and nutrients are 84.75±0.6%, ammonia 53.21±0.5%, nitrite 81.08±0.6%, nitrate 91.28±0.5%, NTK 57.34±0.7%, organic N 68.49±0.5%, TN 57.96±0.8%, and TP 72.28±0.5%. As for aerobic reactors, the preliminary efficiency of COD is 86.56±0.5%, ammonia is 85.39±0.4%, nitrite is 87.43±0.4%, nitrate is 56.34±0.6%, NTK is 80.26±0.7%, organic N is 67.88±1.4%, TN is 80±0.7%, and TP is 83.54±0.3%. Based on statistical tests, variations in oxygen availability have a significant influence on the efficiency of pollutant removal. On the other hand, for the variation in the concentration of organic influents, there was no significant effect on the efficiency of the removal. The selected substrate removal kinetics are first-order kinetics with k1 being 0.249 ±0.02/hour for anoxic reactors and 0.349±0.03/hour for aerobic reactors. The kinetics of the two reactors are closer to the hourly allowance efficiency than the other two models and have a determination coefficient close to one. As for the kinetics of microorganisne growth, the ?max and Ks values for anoxic reactors were 1.35/day and 247.57 mg/L, for aerobic reactors, the ?max and Ks values were 1.90/day and 222.36 mg/L, respectively. text
