Summary:PT ABC as a new company in the coal sector, needs to be given special attention in designing existing mining operations, including the aspect of mine drainage. A good drainage system can be proposed as a solution in draining mine water so that good management can be carried out so that there is no environmental pollution in the area around PT ABC's IUP-OP. The design of drainage suggestions begins with an analysis of the disturbed catchment area for each PT ABC opening and stockpile area each year so that drainage suggestions can be obtained according to needs. The use of pumping in the PT ABC mining area is also one of the obstacles that needs to be optimized again, so that in the mining process there will be no loss time due to the lack of maximum performance of the existing pumps. Then it is necessary to evaluate the availability of existing mud settling ponds (KPL). In this research, recommendations for drainage facilities were obtained in the form of open channels, culverts, pits, and detention ponds. Open channel dimensions range from 0.5 x 0.7 m to 0.5 x 1.2 m. The diameter dimensions of the culverts used were 0.5 and 2.5 m. Pit 1 pit volumes ranged from 6,012 - 14.659 m3 and pit 2 pit volumes ranged from 4,558 – 17,467 m3. The pit 1 and pit 2 pumping requirements each use 1 single stage centrifugal type pump (739 HP) with working days ranging from 2-22 days per month. For pumping the middle pumping pond, 5-6 vacuum diaphragm type pumps (30 HP) are used with working days ranging from 16-21 days per month. For pumping the west pumping pond uses 1 diaphragm vacuum type pump (30 HP) with 8 working days per month. Then for the addition of a detention pond has a length x width x height of 50 x 110 x 3 m with an effective volume of 10,746 m3.
