AMS method measurements are carried out using a directional reference so that in the data collection process will be obtained in the form of magnetic susceptibility in different directions. The purpose of this study is to identify the direction and nature of magnetic anisotropy in metamorphic rocks and its correlation with surrounding metamorphic rock samples originating from location "X". This is done because anisotropy can be caused by the influence of pressure and metamorphism processes that occur in underground mining areas. The samples taken are core samples formed into several cylindrical specimens with a diameter of 2.5 cm and a height of 2 cm. AMS measurements will be carried out in nine orientations of the measurement direction using the MS2B Bartington Susceptibility Meter. Data processing from AMS measurements is expressed in a symmetric second-order tensor using MATLAB R2023b software, so as to obtain three eigenvalues that are used to express the value of the anisotropy parameter. This study shows that marble metamorphic rock samples have a susceptibility ellipsoidal shape tends to be oblate or more flattened with a degree of anisotropy that varies from low (<10%), medium (15-20%), to high (>20%). The varying degrees of anisotropy can be related to variations in the distribution and orientation of ferro-magnetic minerals due to the influence of intrusion and contact metamorphism. text |

Anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility (AMS) analysis was conducted on
metamorphic rock samples from location "X". AMS method measurements are
carried out using a directional reference so that in the data collection process will
be obtained in the form of magnetic susceptibility in different directions. The
purpose of this study is to identify the direction and nature of magnetic anisotropy
in metamorphic rocks and its correlation with surrounding metamorphic rock
samples originating from location "X". This is done because anisotropy can be
caused by the influence of pressure and metamorphism processes that occur in
underground mining areas. The samples taken are core samples formed into several
cylindrical specimens with a diameter of 2.5 cm and a height of 2 cm. AMS
measurements will be carried out in nine orientations of the measurement direction
using the MS2B Bartington Susceptibility Meter. Data processing from AMS
measurements is expressed in a symmetric second-order tensor using MATLAB
R2023b software, so as to obtain three eigenvalues that are used to express the
value of the anisotropy parameter. This study shows that marble metamorphic rock
samples have a susceptibility ellipsoidal shape tends to be oblate or more flattened
