This study aims to evaluate various techniques for stabilizing expansive soil, one of which involves the addition of chemical agents. This research is a collaboration with the chemical industry, specifically PT Kao Chemical Indonesia, which produces the stabilizing agent used in this study, named Mighty CS-1. The study uses soil from Sukabungah, Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road STA 28, which has a very high expansiveness. Soil stabilization was performed using Mighty CS-1 at varying percentages of 1.5%, 3%, 4.5%, and 6%, with curing times of 0, 7, 14, and 21 days. Tests conducted include compaction tests, methylene blue tests, unconfined compressive strength tests, CBR tests, and swelling tests. The addition of Mighty CS-1 to expansive soil has a positive impact, such as increasing the soil's shear strength and CBR value, with the optimal addition at 1.5%. Additionally, Mighty CS-1 is effective in reducing the methylene blue value and soil expansion pressure, with the optimal addition at 3%. Based on the results obtained, adding more than 3% of Mighty CS-1 is considered less effective for stabilizing the expansive soil used in this study. text |
