Summary: | MSMEs in Indonesia are thriving in this technological era. However, not many
MSMEs have entered the digital economy ecosystem. Keeping financial records is
one of the activities that MSMEs can do to plunge into the digitalization of MSMEs.
Compared to doing financial records manually, MSME players will be facilitated
to do financial records digitally with the help of smartphones. Currently, there are
many financial recording applications that help MSME actors in conducting
business records, but there are still many actors who find problems in using these
applications, where users only use features to record transactions and inventory,
while many applications offer other features that MSME actors feel they do not
need. In addition, users also have difficulty with text on applications that are too
small to read. Therefore, a financial recording application is needed that focuses on
the needs of MSME actors.
Because it focuses on the needs and desires of users, the methodology used in
designing interactions is the user centered design (UCD) methodology. Interaction
design with UCD methodology focuses on users and their needs in every design
process. For usability goals determined are effective to use and efficient to use, for
user experience goals are helpful. The design itself is done in two stages, namely
low-fidelity and high-fidelity design using Figma. Usability testing was carried out
using the SEQ (Simple Ease Question), SUS (System Usability Scale), and IMI
(Intrinsic Motivation Inventory) questionnaires. The test results show that the
prototype has achieved usability goals, namely effective where all tasks given are
successfully done and efficient where tasks are fast and easy to do. User experience
goals in the form of helpfulness were also achieved. |
