Description
Summary:Indonesia possessess numbers of natural resources in the form of oil and gas, particularly those located in deep-sea areas. The potential of theese deep-sea resources has not yet been fully maximized due to the limited exploration activities for oil and gas in the sea. Offshore platforms are structure that used to support exploration and exploitation activities for oil and gas in the sea. Offshore platforms are fabricated onshore and then transported using barge to the installation site offshore. During the transportation of the offshore platform from the fabrication site to the installation site, barge motion analysis is conducted to determine a route that meets the design criteria. In this final project, the design of offshore platform type fixed platform with four legs at a depth of 30 meters in north of East Java is conducted. The main objective in designing an offshore platform is to ensure the structure’s feasibility under in-service conditions, referring to the API RP2A-WSD standard. The analysis conducted to meet the in-service criteria include in-place, seismic, and fatigue analysis. Based on the study results, the structure meets the criteria of in-service analysis (in-place, seismic, and fatigue). The study then continues to analyze barge motion. The barge used during the transporation will be examined for its motion response to determine the optimal routee. The transportation of the offshore platform’s jacket structutre is carried out from the fabrication sit on Batam Islands to the installation site in North of East Java. Three routes are determined and will be compared on the results of the barge motion analysis. The routes are selected based on the marine trafic in indonesian waters. To ensure the safety of transporting the structure with the barge, yhe default motion criteria from DNV ST-001 are used as a reference for the results of the barge motion analysis. One of the assumptions used in this analysis is the speed of the barge, which is 3 knots. From the three routes that will be compared, review points will be determined for collecting environmental data. The environmental data needed include significant wave height (????????,), peak period (????????,), and wind speed. After conducting the analysis, the most optimal route is determined by comparing the motions of the three routes and selecting the one with the least motion.
