Summary: | The Biringkassi Port, located in the Pangkajene and Islands Regency of South Sulawesi, serves as a crucial hub for facilitating the production activities of PT. Semen Tonasa, one of the largest cement manufacturers in Eastern Indonesia. To meet sales targets, it is necessary to enhance the port's capacity to 60,000 DWT, which requires dredging work to accommodate docking vessels. This final project will discuss the design of the navigation channel and port basin layout, dredging volume estimation, and the duration of dredging operations. The design results indicate a navigation channel depth of 13.5 meters from the Lowest Water Surface (LWS), with a width of 160 meters and a bottom slope of 1:3. The turning basin has a depth of 13.5 meters from LWS and a diameter of 380 meters. The docking area has a depth of 13.5 meters from LWS, with dimensions of 41 meters and 240 meters wide. The dredging volume is calculated using the cross-section method, resulting in an estimated volume of 4,751,932.1 m³. This dredging project requires one backhoe dredger, "BDC 29," one backhoe dredger, "Rhea," and one trailing suction hopper dredger, "Bali II," supported by eight self-propelled barges. The dredging operations are scheduled for 357 days, including mobilization and demobilization, with an estimated cost of Rp533,355,366,074.18, or Rp112,235.48 per cubic meter.
