IDENTIFICATION OF TYPES AND LOCATION OF BEST RAINWATER MANAGEMENT PRACTICES AT ITB CIREBON CAMPUS SITE

Sustainable development approach through rainwater management has been applied at various scales of planning to stabilize ecosystem services from the impact of land use change, one of them is in the campus environment. ITB Cirebon Campus is one of ITB's multi-campuses, located in Kecamatan Arjawinangun, Kabupaten Cirebon. Land use change are increasing runoff volume and descreasing the infiltration rate. Therefore, rainwater management planning is need to be applied by maximizing rainwater control through installing technology that function for infiltrate, storage, or harvesting rainwater. Best management practice (BMP) is techincal and design guide for stormwater management. BMP has various types of technology with different functions. Therefore, this research aims to select the appropriate type dan location of BMP according to the characteristics of ITB Cirebon Campus. The selection of the type of BMP at ITB Cirebon Campus is reviewed by analyzing the criteria based on Stormwater BMPs Design Guide. Analysis of the implementation location of each selected BMP type was conducted at the ITB Cirebon Campus through the location criteria from each selected BMPs and overlay with ITB Cirebon Campus’s Masterplan Map. Based on the results in this study, the types of BMP and their implementation locations at ITB Cirebon Campus were obtained.
