STUDY OF THE DISTRIBUTION OF NATURAL COKE (NC) DUE TO IGNEOUS ROCK INTRUSION BASED ON 2D MODELLING WITH INDICATOR KRIGING GEOSTATISTICS METHOD: CASE STUDY OF SITE A PT XYZ

This study aims to analyze the distribution of heat-affected coal (NC) resulting from igneous rock intrusions (IGN) based on 2D probability modeling of NC and igneous rock intrusion. The modeling is conducted with the indicator kriging geostatistical method using the Geovariances Isatis.neo software...

INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/86456 This study aims to analyze the distribution of heat-affected coal (NC) resulting from igneous rock intrusions (IGN) based on 2D probability modeling of NC and igneous rock intrusion. The modeling is conducted with the indicator kriging geostatistical method using the Geovariances Isatis.neo software. Kriging is a geostatistical method used to estimate values at unobserved points based on spatial correlations between sample points, utilizing a variogram to measure spatial correlation. Indicator kriging is a variant of the Kriging method that is well-suited for categorical variables. A case study was conducted at Site A, PT XYZ, Central Kalimantan. The probability distribution area will be examined for correlations with the geological formations to determine whether the formation of NC in the study area is caused by igneous rock intrusions. The probability of NC and IGN occurrences are noted in the Busang Complex (PTRb) and the Haloq Sandstone and Batu Kelau Formations (Tehk). This study involves analyzing each geological formation and correlating it with lithological data from exploration drill holes. The conclusion of this study is that igneous rock intrusions influenced the formation of NC, as evidenced by the presence of magma intrusions and volcanic formations around areas with NC probability > 0.5. text
