CORRELATION OF LINEAMENT DENSITY WITH THE DISTRIBUTION OF NATURAL COKE AND ROCK MAGNETISM BASED ON IMAGERY DATA IN MURUNG RAYA REGENCY, CENTRAL KALIMANTAN

Murung Raya Regency, Central Kalimantan, is characterized by complex geological conditions and rich natural resources. This research aims to create a lineament density map semi-automatically using PCI Geomatica software based on Digital Elevation Model Nasional (DEMNAS) and Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) data. The study also analyzes the correlation between the lineament density map and lithology, regional geological structures, magnetic rock zones, as well as the distribution of Natural coke boreholes and igneous rocks. The results show that areas with low lineament density tend to be in older and more complex rock formations, while areas with medium to high lineament density are found in younger sedimentary formations. The correlation between lineament density and magnetic rock zones indicates an increased correlation at higher elevations. In addition, a strong correlation was found between the distribution of natural coke boreholes and medium to high lineament density, with an average probability of occurrence of 70% for natural coke and 63% for igneous rocks. A positive correlation was also observed between the presence of natural coke and igneous rocks with high magnetic zones, particularly in Block B, while in Block J, their presence was scattered across both low and high magnetic zones.
