This research seeks to develop a model for determining priority areas for nonmetallic minerals offender decision makers in determining the location of minerals by combining methods SMARTER ( Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique Exploiting Ranks ) and Geographic Information System technology (GIS). SMARTER method as development of the SMART method is part of the method of Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM). This method was chosen because the SMARTER method is a method for decision making with diverse criteria (multi-criteria) with a simple weighting method. The study area for this research is in Kebumen, Central Java, which has the potential of 19 types of non-metallic minerals scattered in some areas, but in it concession still not managed or monitored by the government resulting in the overlap area of lan, environmental damage and is not optimal for the source revenue. This model uses indicators of the various criteria of physical-geographical aspects, the economy and vulnerability to disasters that are spatial and non - spatial, include: the use of land, vast mineral, land slope, distance to roads, distance to rivers, distance to potential population (labor force), the status of the land soil erosion rates, and the level of ground motion. Model of spatial decision support system SMARTER method generates the initial information that the location of potential mineral that is a priority for development in Kebumen is Buayan district area as a first priority. This model could theoretically be developed to prioritize the location of minerals in an area, it can be seen from every location has a priority value, but to be applied to the practical stage requires further assessment. text |
