Description
Summary:Stabilization of Sragen and Cepu soils with consolid444 and conservex using modified compaction had been carried out. The testings of CBR, maximum dry density (DDM), optimum moisture content (OMC), unconfined compressive test (qu) and plasticity index (P1) were performed in order to know the increase of strength of the soils obtained from Sumberlawang (Sragen) , Gawan (Sragen) and Cepu (Blora) areas.

The test was performed on samples taken from shallow depth of local soil (-1,00 to -2,00 metres below the ground surface).

Experiments were conducted on four types of mixtures :

a) Soil without stabilization material

b) Soil 0,3 I/m3 C444 0,5 % CX

c) Soil 0,6 I/m3 C444 0,75 % CX

d) Soil 0,9 I/m3 C444 1 % CX

The result showed the values of Califonia Bearing Ratio (CBR), dry density maximum (DDM), unconfined compressive strength (q u) increaese and the values of optimum moisture content (OMC) and pisticity - index (PI) decrease.
