This study focuses on the application of decorative motifs from Lampung's Tapis Kapal cloth motifs to evening gown products using the tambour beading & embroidery technique. Lampung's Tapis Kapal cloth is a traditional cloth with high aesthetic and philosophical value that is starting to become extinct due to various factors, such as the eruption of Krakatoa and colonialism. This study aims to preserve and reintroduce Lampung's Tapis Kapal cloth motif through innovation in the form of contemporary clothing. The tambour beading & embroidery technique was chosen to provide a three-dimensional touch to the motif, different from the commonly used print and batik techniques. Based on the Indonesia Trend Forecast 2023/2024, the theme "Co-Exist" was adopted, specifically referring to the consumer group "The Soul Searchers." This study produced three sets of evening gowns with a touch of natural colors and rough and raw material textures, reflecting a rustic aesthetic that fits the theme. The results of this work are expected to increase appreciation for traditional Indonesian fabrics and enrich the fashion industry with innovations in traditional techniques.
