Summary: | The Waste-Free Area (KBS) is one of the programs aimed at waste reduction in Bandung City.
One of the findings from research conducted in RW 7, Kebon Pisang Village, Bandung City,
indicates that it can reduce waste by up to 16.43% of the total waste generation in the area
through the KBS program. Given this reduction, there is a need for an indicator assessment to
measure the achievement of KBS in accordance with the Bandung City Medium-Term
Development Plan (RPJMD). These assessment indicators are also used as evaluation
materials to ensure that the level of waste reduction in Bandung City continues to improve.
The assessment of KBS indicators is carried out using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP)
method. The initial stage of this research involves conducting interviews with respondents and
field observations. Subsequently, the predetermined indicators are established based on
applicable regulations, followed by validity and reliability testing. Once a valid indicator
model is obtained, AHP weighting is performed based on evaluations from experts in the field
of waste management. These experts include representatives from the Bandung City
Environmental Agency, waste management practitioners, academics, and environmental
consultants.
The results of this research yield performance assessment indicators for KBS from several
indicators and sub-indicators that influence the outcomes, thereby generating
recommendations for improvements in waste management policies by the government. |
