STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS AND DECOMMISSIONING METHODS FOR FIXED JACKET WELLHEAD PLATFORM IN NATUNA
SKK Migas has reported that Indonesia possesses at least 635 offshore platforms. Among these is a four-legged fixed jacket wellhead platform situated in Natuna, which has been in operation since 1992 and is projected to reach the end of its service life by 2032. As the end of its service life, urgent planning for decommissioning becomes necessary. This final project focuses on decommissioning method analysis, specifically focusing on the total removal cases of the topsides and jacket structures. Lifting techniques were employed to remove these components, utilizing a 3,000 metric-ton crane barge. To ensure a safe and efficient operation, structural analysis software was used for both in-place and static lifting analyses. These analyses focused on identifying critical factors such as structural integrity, minimum hook capacity, and the suitability of lifting equipment. The in-place analysis confirmed that the platform's structure can withstand operational and environmental loads as per API RP-2A WSD standards. Then, the static lifting analysis demonstrated that all technical parameters, including weight, angles, and hook point height, adhered to GL Noble Denton 0027/ND standards. Furthermore, the unity check, as mandated by API RP-2A WSD, verified that all structural elements could endure the lifting loads. text |
