Description
Summary:The NEB Field, located in the Jabung Block, South Sumatra Basin, is a hydrocarbon field producing oil and gas. The primary issue in the NEB Field lies in the high CO? impurity content in hydrocarbons, as indicated by drill stem test (DST) data, where CO? gas contributes to increased production and exploration costs and poses environmental concerns. This study aims to analyze the relationship between seismic responses and CO? saturation using the Amplitude Versus Offset (AVO) method and seismic attributes to identify the distribution of CO? zones in the field. The results reveal that higher CO? saturation in reservoirs leads to a decrease in intercept (A) values and an increase in gradient (B) values for Meandering Facies and Alluvial Fan Facies, while Braided Facies is less sensitive to CO? saturation variations. The Minimum Product attribute analysis shows a strong correlation, with values of 0.7342 for Meandering Facies and 0.9167 for Alluvial Fan Facies. Conversely, the amplitude attribute exhibits a weaker correlation, with values of 0.4124 for Meandering Facies and 0.2269 for Alluvial Fan Facies.
