Description
Summary:One of the most frequent natural disasters in Indonesia, especially in Java, is flooding. One area that is quite often affected by floods is Dayeuhkolot District, Bandung Regency, West Java Province. The flood disaster in this area was caused by an overflow of water from the Cikapundung River, which is a tributary of the Citarum River. Flood events are very detrimental both economically and socially, that is what is experienced by the people in Dayeuhkolot District. This research is intended to designing a countermeasure infrastructure that can deal with floods due to overflowing of the Cikapundung River such as embankments. The analysis begins with hydrological analysis which is intended to determine the amount of flood discharge flowing in the river, then the next stage is the hydraulic analysis assisted by a model using HEC RAS 6.5 software. Based on the model, it will be obtained which river sections experience runoff and the determination of the use of sheetpile/embankment embankments will be adjusted to the existing boundary space.
