This study aims to explore the effectiveness of 3D seismic surveys with sparse and irregular designs, as previously conducted by other researchers, using wireless seismometers and an accelerated weight drop at the ITB Cirebon campus area. The focus of this research is on survey operations, various encountered challenges, and the evaluation of survey results. The main challenges in this survey include the proximity to a major road, high human activity, and ongoing construction work. Data acquisition was conducted following the procedures of sparse and irregular 3D seismic surveys as a consequence of the existing limitations. Various preparations and planning were carried out for this experiment, including area scouting, parameter testing, topographic surveying, obtaining permits, and more. Preliminary results indicate that this approach can produce adequate subsurface imaging despite the limitations. Several issues were encountered, such as inconsistent timebreak data and source bounce back. These issues can be addressed with advanced data processing. Additionally, this method proves to be more time and cost-efficient compared to conventional seismic surveys. The discussion also includesv recommendations for the application of seismic surveys in other areas with similar environmental conditions. text |

Conventional 3D seismic surveys are not effective and efficient for monitoring
EOR/CCUS due to limited time and budget. This study aims to explore the
effectiveness of 3D seismic surveys with sparse and irregular designs, as previously
conducted by other researchers, using wireless seismometers and an accelerated
weight drop at the ITB Cirebon campus area. The focus of this research is on survey
operations, various encountered challenges, and the evaluation of survey results.
The main challenges in this survey include the proximity to a major road, high
human activity, and ongoing construction work. Data acquisition was conducted
following the procedures of sparse and irregular 3D seismic surveys as a
consequence of the existing limitations. Various preparations and planning were
carried out for this experiment, including area scouting, parameter testing,
topographic surveying, obtaining permits, and more. Preliminary results indicate
that this approach can produce adequate subsurface imaging despite the
limitations. Several issues were encountered, such as inconsistent timebreak data
and source bounce back. These issues can be addressed with advanced data
processing. Additionally, this method proves to be more time and cost-efficient
compared to conventional seismic surveys. The discussion also includesv
recommendations for the application of seismic surveys in other areas with similar
