The findings of this study reveal that: 1) the quality of pedestrian pathway elements in the Dukuh Atas TOD area has a significant impact on pedestrians' perceptions, especially those unfamiliar with the environment; 2) Conversely, pedestrians who frequently use the pedestrian area tend to be unaffected by the existing facility elements as they are already accustomed to the surrounding environment; 3) Additionally, the results indicate that pedestrians prefer pathways with varied land use in the surrounding areas; 4) Based on these findings, the quality of pedestrian elements within the TOD area is proven to influence visitors' perceptions, suggesting that recommendations regarding pedestrian facility elements are not only relevant for implementation in the Dukuh Atas TOD area but can also be applied to other urban areas with similar characteristics text |

The increasingly limited urban land use demands a more efficient approach, particularly in
the development of areas surrounding stations that must ensure easy access for pedestrians.
The Dukuh Atas Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) area is an example where the
integration of TOD concepts, focusing on pedestrians, plays a crucial role in addressing the
challenges of developing more compact and efficient urban areas.
This study employs an exploratory sequential design to analyze the study object, aiming to
uncover phenomena, variables, and conditions that occur during the research process. The
findings of this study reveal that: 1) the quality of pedestrian pathway elements in the Dukuh
Atas TOD area has a significant impact on pedestrians' perceptions, especially those
unfamiliar with the environment; 2) Conversely, pedestrians who frequently use the pedestrian
area tend to be unaffected by the existing facility elements as they are already accustomed to
the surrounding environment; 3) Additionally, the results indicate that pedestrians prefer
pathways with varied land use in the surrounding areas; 4) Based on these findings, the quality
of pedestrian elements within the TOD area is proven to influence visitors' perceptions,
suggesting that recommendations regarding pedestrian facility elements are not only relevant
for implementation in the Dukuh Atas TOD area but can also be applied to other urban areas
with similar characteristics |
