Public information service is defined as the distribution and reception system of information related to public needs. One of the public information media is Website, which is popular for its fast and easy in distribution, delivery, and interactivity if we compare with conventional system. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This thesis objective is to analyze the effectivity of Riau public information services Web based, and Web specification required by public based on questionnair and data collection from Internet users in CPI Rumbai, Minas, Duri and Riau public community. All Riau government websites are analyzed by using pooling questionair. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> From this analysis, it is determined that the accuracy and up to date of the Web are more important and effective than speed and content. Further, it is also recommended that the web administrator develops and improves front page and performance to attract Riau public. Realization of Riau government budget for the web is 97 percent, this should be improved for the following years. <br />
