The smart hospital concept is one approach that can be implemented to realize the integration of technology in healthcare services. One such technology is Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), which enables healthcare professionals to monitor patients’ conditions, such as vital signs, without requiring physical presence. While RSKB Halmahera Siaga has adopted several technologies for financial services, patient management, medical staff management, and room management, it has not yet implemented technology for services directly related to patient care, such as RPM. This study highlights the need for RPM implementation at RSKB Halmahera Siaga to improve overall patient healthcare services. The objective of this study is to identify the requirements and design an RPM system that can be implemented at RSKB Halmahera Siaga. The RPM concept is proposed as the hospital still conducts patient monitoring operations manually. The design of the RPM system will adopt the smart system concept as its design environment, encompassing sensing, understanding, and acting. In addition to the smart system, this study utilizes the Design Science Research Methodology (DSRM) and TOGAF ADM frameworks. The design process includes the preliminary phase, layer-by-layer design, the development of an architecture model for each layer, prototype development, and evaluation. text
