Description
Summary:Indonesia has abundant natural resource potential. The optimal management of these resources can have a positive impact on national development. Geospatial information plays a crucial role in supporting national development effectively and precisely. One of the aspects regulated by legislation pertains to national development. With the inclusion of geospatial aspects in legislation related to national development, society has a reference point, preventing misinterpretation and errors in methodology application. This undergraduate thesis research examine legislation related to national development in Indonesia by assessing the status and characteristics of its geospatial aspects, followed by analysis and recommendations. The method used is a literature study by reviewing geospatial aspects in legislation related to national development in Indonesia. The geospatial aspects examined include geospatial reference systems, coordinate systems, maps, and geographic information systems. Based on the 14 legislations reviewed, 1 legislation fully encompasses all four geospatial aspects, while the other 13 legislations do not fully cover all four geospatial aspects. It is hoped that the recommendations from this undergraduate thesis research can serve as input for the government in drafting legislation related to national development in the future.
