INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/87195 Mining of type C quarry under Indonesia’s Mining Law No. 11 of 1967, is the type of mining to extract sand, gravel, and non-metallic minerals. It is widespread due to high construction demand. However, many type C quarry operations, particularly small-scale and illegal activities, often leaves behind degraded and abandoned land due to insufficient reclamation efforts. This study proposes a landscape approach based on circular and regenerative concepts as a holistic solution for rehabilitating post-mining land. The circular concept emphasizes waste reduction and the maximization of resource utilization, while the regenerative concept aims to restore and enhance ecosystem functions. These concepts are integrated into landscape design to promote sustainable land rehabilitation. The objective of this study is to formulate the principles, criteria, and strategies for applying circular and regenerative landscape design on post-mining galian C land in Indonesia. The data for this study comes from a case study of 24 national journals related to galian C reclamation and survey data from 28 stakeholders involved in galian C reclamation, who assessed the components of the circular and regenerative concepts. The research method includes literature review, theoretical framework analysis, case studies, and surveys. The research process is carried out in five stages: (1) an initial study on the condition of post-mining reclamation, existing guidelines, and the introduction of circular and regenerative concepts, (2) development of a theoretical framework linking reclamation activities with guidelines and variables of the circular and regenerative concepts, (3) case studies to analyze the needs and existing reclamation activities, (4) identification of the components of the circular and regenerative concepts and their impact on reclamation activities, and (5) formulation of principles, design criteria, guidelines, and strategies for applying these concepts in galian C post-mining reclamation. The findings of this study are expected to enrich knowledge in the field of reclamation and provide strategic and technical guidelines relevant to post-mining landscape design practices. text
