Wangisagara Village has experienced rural transformation in the last 26 years and has raised various challenges. Based on this, the main objective of this study is to identify the challenges of rural transformation and the adjustment of the Village-Owned Enterprises business model in facing the challenges of rural transformation. This study uses a research strategy through case studies with primary data collection through semi-structured interviews and secondary data collection. The analysis was carried out qualitatively to obtain an overview of the challenges of rural transformation and the adjustment of the Village-Owned Enterprises business model. The study results show that Village-Owned Enterprises have adjusted their business models in facing the challenges of rural transformation by fulfilling the demand for goods and services, providing internet services to improve digital literacy, and access to capital for economic diversification and increasing agricultural productivity. Meanwhile, Village-Owned Enterprises did not adjust their business models in facing macro-level challenges of rural transformation, this is because Village-Owned Enterprises are instruments owned by the village government and have limited capacity to overcome the challenges of macro-level challenges of rural transformation. From this study, it can be concluded that adjusting the BUM Desa business model is important in facing rural transformation to improve community welfare. Regarding challenges that cannot be adjusted in the BUM Desa business model, collaboration is needed between BUM Desa and the authorities to create value propositions through the challenges of macro-level challenges of rural transformation. The results of the study are expected to provide new insights regarding the role of BUM Desa in facing the challenges of rural transformation. text
