Summary:Indonesia as a developing country currently facing a growth in infrastructure that present opportunities for architecture studios to gained project acquisition. In order to prepare for those opportunities, architecture studios must put a focus in the business aspects beside the output main business process. Akansa Architecture Studio is one of the architecture studios that lost its opportunities because of the misalignment of its service with customers’ demands and expectations, and strategic management is one way to address that issue. The Delta Model strategy is applicable for Akansa Architecture Studio, as this concept is focusing on customers and bonding between business elements and stakeholders rather than focusing on competitive advantage; which is suitable to solve service misalignment issue. This thesis research done using qualitative analysis, and the data collected then analysed with the Delta Model framework to find the factors causing gaps between customers’ demands and expectations with Akansa Architecture Studio’s values and services; and find what strategies can it implement to realign the services. From the research, author finds that the gaps caused by the different in the strategic position of the customers with the company, and there is potential customer segments failed to be address as well. From the analysis, author find that the strategies as the business solution to be implement by Akansa Architecture Studio are: (1) provide complementary service by collaborating with complementor that provide all-in service; (2) introducing dynamic pricing plan; (3) adjust concept deliveries by focusing more on the feasibility, viability, and transparency; (4) broaden networks scope and bond between complementors; and (5) develop knowledge transfer by innovating a brief project form in pre-consultation phase. This thesis provides fresh research in the application of the Delta Model strategy for a business in architecture industry that has not been available before. Research on the Delta Model strategy also still deficient, and future research needed to check the applicability for the Delta Model strategy in architecture business. Future research using quantitative approach, larger samples size, and other business case study are recommended.
