Description
Summary:The frozen food industry in Indonesia has experienced rapid growth driven by urbanization and changes in consumer lifestyles. CV. XYZ, as an SME engaged in the production of frozen foods such as otak-otak and bakso, faces various challenges, such as declining revenue growth, high employee turnover, dependence on suppliers outside the region, and inadequate cold chain transportation. To address these challenges, it is crucial to adopt a structured and measurable system that can provide clear guidance for performance improvement. This study aims to develop a performance management system based on a knowledge-based performance management system (KBPMS) approach that can help CV. XYZ overcome these challenges. Using a mixed research method, data were collected through semi-structured interviews and secondary data analysis. KBPMS was chosen because of its simplicity and relevance in the context of SMEs, covering three main perspectives: business results, internal processes, and resource capabilities. From these three perspectives, 22 key performance indicators were obtained. Furthermore, an analysis of the indicators was carried out using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to find weights between indicators. The findings revealed that indicators such as revenue growth rate, supplier reliability rate, and cold chain adoption received the highest weights, highlighting their critical importance. These variables are crucial because they have an immediate impact on the main CV. XYZ's challenges. Focusing on the indicators with the highest weight allows CV. XYZ to identify the improvement priorities that have the most significant impact on the company's performance. Thus, the implementation of KBPMS is expected to help CV. XYZ in overcoming operational challenges, improving performance efficiency, and achieving the company's strategic goals.
