An interview with the warehouse manager revealed inventory mismatches as a recurring issue, illustrated through a sample of 9 book titles. This sample showed a sharp increase in discrepancies, from 2 cases in 2023 to 190 cases in 2024. Motivated by these observations, a broader analysis was conducted using stock opname data from 2024, uncovering a 0.53% discrepancy rate across 585,056 commodities and a 52.85% disagreement at the book title level, affecting 4,869 out of 9,123 titles. Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) was utilized to map warehouse operations and pinpoint specific challenges contributing to IRI. The analysis identified inefficiencies such as manual validation errors for large shipments, overlapping responsibilities in packing and preparation, and delays in identifying inventory discrepancies. To address these challenges, the study proposes implementing RFID technology to streamline verification during inventory transfers, routine cycle counting to manage shortages and excess during receipt, and role-based task allocation to separate packing from validation tasks. These solutions aim to improve inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and reduce verification redundancies. This research demonstrates the interconnectedness between inventory accuracy and business process effectiveness, emphasizing the importance of modernizing inventory practices and aligning them with strategic KPIs. Future studies should expand the scope to the entire Mizan Group, integrating sales data and a more comprehensive approach to enable systemic improvements in inventory management and organizational performance. text
