Until now there has been no study related to the profile and problems of connectivity and accessibility. Where connectivity and accessibility themselves are vitality criteria that are influenced by spatial configuration. This research was conducted to explain the spatial configuration of the Banten Lama area as a basis for designers in optimizing the old banten area arrangement plan, especially in the formulation of regional design policies. This research uses data analysis methods used are qualitative analysis methods and space syntax analysis methods. The study results raise several issues such as the lack of an interconnected road network, the lack of ease in achieving goals, the level of spatial clarity that cannot be said to be good, some road sections have accessibility that tends to be high but there are no facilities available as well as the need for green space as a supporter of connectivity and accessibility (integrating between roads) and on road sections that do not have pedestrian facilities. These existing problems then require solutions in the form of design needs. For this reason, there are several design policy proposals such as the addition of roads, the potential for green open space and pedestrian oriented to improve connectivity and accessibility and the vitality of the area. text
