This company has a metal casting factory equipped with an Induction Melting Furnace located in the Ceper industrial area, Klaten, Central Java. Its products include materials such as Cast Iron, Stainless Steel, Steel, Aluminium, Brass, and other alloy metals. This thesis aims to propose recommendations for the implementation of a performance management system at PT. SPU using the Knowledge-Based Performance Management System (KBPMS) Framework. The proposed system is designed to present a solid performance management framework to address several problems faced by the company, such as unstable income, not optimal in marketing, defective products, delays in project completion, and the absence of key performance indicators (KPIs) in the existing system. The implementation of this KBPMS is expected to improve the overall performance of the company, align business objectives, and build a culture of continuous improvement. The development of a KBPMS consists of several interrelated stages. The initial stage, Basic Principles, emphasizes the values of partnership, empowerment, integration, and independence as the foundation of the system. Continued with Business Information, which includes data on the industry, government roles, market conditions, competition, and company products and services. The next stage, System Design, includes the preparation of the company's vision, mission, and strategy, identification of key performance variables, analysis of relationships between variables, and determination of relevant benchmarks. In System Implementation, measurements, evaluations, diagnoses, and follow-ups are carried out based on the results obtained. Finally, System Refreshment focuses on reviewing and updating to ensure the relevance and sustainability of the system. This study only covers the stages of system design and preparation of implementation plans. text
